Smokey.

What is better than a blown out smokey eye? Nothing. I put together this grungy look using Too Faced semi sweet palette with shades 'pudding' and 'liquorice' on the lips I have Sephoras liner 'candid candy' and of course Anastassia Beverly Hills brow wiz in ebony. I decided to class this look up with a braided updo just for fun.

Bobbi!

BOBBI BROWN

After hearing rave reviews, I gave the Bobbi Brown SPF 15 foundation a go. I love the feel of this product. It is super light, but at the same time has great coverage. I would categorize this as a medium coverage foundation, but you could build onto it for more coverage if you would like. I don't feel cakey, or greasy, such a nice consistency. I wouldn't say this has the best staying power for oily skin, I would purchase the Long Wear Even Finish SPF 15 Foundation if I wanted something a little longer lasting, though so far this has been totally fine for me, of course don't forget to prime and set!

Vamp.

Transylvania

Rolling with the dark colours here. Finally back to brunette, a nice soft ombre transition. I went for a very neutral eye with natural looking lashes, and bold lips. The deep purple of this lip cream really amps up the vampy feel.

Lashes: Red Cherry #DW

Lip: NYX Transylania

Ear Jewelry: Flaming Bones

The NYX soft matte lip creams are to die for though. Really. They are so velvety when applied, you barely notice you are wearing anything at all, and they last quite a while. If applied sparingly over lip bam they make for a nice lip  stain as well.

MAC Cosmetics Young Punk Shadow.

 Shameless Impulse Buy.

MAC, You've done it again. I don't normally wear black shadows, but this was too pretty to resist! It is so gorgeous in a smoky eye. If you apply this over a cream shadow the sparkles will appear more vibrant, but when you apply it alone it is a nice light shimmer. I didn't need to re stock any items so I decided to try something new, and out of the ordinary.  Mac 'Poung Punk' Mineralize eye shadow is perfect for those nights you want to rock out.

Worth a try if you are looking for a fun new shade to add to your collection.

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette.

What A Sweet Treat!

Everybody was raving about this palette, I had to get in on the action. I have used these shadows for all of my recent makeup looks. The quality is fantastic! Super pigmented, top notch. Thank you Too Faced! + the packaging is worth a mention as well.. HELLO! It's a chocolate bar. nuff said. If you are needing a versatile palette, just do it.

Peach lips and winged liner.

It felt like spring for a second.

I wanted to try out some new NYX cosmetics lippies. I used the Peach Cobbler gloss with Indie Flick underneath.

A bold orange lip, makes it feel like spring at least.

For my eyes I used Too Faced Semi Sweet palette, Mousse and Frosting all over to make that blown out brown smokey eye.

I used the Anastasia Dip Brow in Blonde to give the look of more natural brows + I took her brow wiz in ebony to make hairlike strokes throughout the hairs.

Bronzed Eyes and Burgundy Lips.

I used the Too Faced semi sweet palette, yet again. My favourite palette right now!
For my eyes:
Crease + Lid: mousse
Inner Crease: puddin
Centre Lid + Inner Corner: caramel
Lower Lashes: caramel + puddin

For my lips I finally found NYX cosmetics Matte Lip in Copenhagen! So much love for this colour.

Lashes: Red Cherry #42

A Mauve Smokey Eye ft. Too Faced.

Inspired by Jlos Golden Globes look, I used the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette to create a blended out mauve smokey eye paired with a pinky nude lip and a dark lower lash line.

Crease: nougat + rum raisin
Inner Crease: hot fudge + liquorice
Lid: puddin

All blended out, using NARS 'albatross' to highlight the eyes and cheek bones.

Lashes: Red Cherry #110
Bronzer: MAC 'harmony'

Tarte's Maracuja Creaseless Concealer.

It's like I was born with dark circles.

It's hard for me to find a concealer that hides my under eye circles without me having to cake it on. Such a waste of product. Thanks to a lovely lady at Sephora, I found this gem. It's very rich, but you do not need to use a lot at all, it spreads out, easily, and evenly. The formula is moisturizing as to not dry out my sensitive under eye skin, but durable enough to last all day.

I choose to apply this with the Sephora Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush #57

And set it with the Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder.

A little about the brand:

Red Cherry Lash Haul + Application.

Little Lash Haul!

So normally I am super lazy when it comes to lashes and I will have 1 pair that I use until they completely die. I thought it was a good time to stock up on various lashes that I can alternate between for different looks. I decided to go for the brand "Red Cherry" since I have a pair right now and the quality is amazing, they are super cheap online, and have a ton of looks to choose from.

I found a site called ikatehouse.com that was selling the Red Cherry lashes for $2.50! Seems crazy to me, so I had to purchase a few.

Quick tip: Your lash glue matters! A quality glue will make all the difference when you apply your lashes. You can pick up DUO at Sephora, this is my all time favourite! I usually just purchase the clear over the black since I find I always have to go over the lash line with liquid liner again either way. I find sometimes the black glue dries grey, and it doesn't really save me from that extra step. *Purchase glue here*

I know sometimes the application can be tricky so here is a great tutorial from my favourite youtube gal Lauren Curtis!

Hold On To Summer With My Favourite Polish.

Summer is over? What? No way.

I know it's Fall. But I will not accept it. I can't face it. Nope.
It's like I'm having withdrawals already! I know you guys know what I'm talking about. As much as I'm excited to layer, cuddle and watch movies for the next 6 months, I just have to keep some hints of Summer around a little bit longer.

Why not keep the Summer nail? My go to shade for the Summer this year was:

It's the perfect neon coral shade. It took me forever to find this colour! I love it so much I don't even care, I'll wear this all year.

Have a great Fall!

The Basics -Sephora/Mac Haul.

Today was a bad day to be my Visa.

I wanted to treat myself and try out a few of the 'high end' products I have been hearing about but have never had the chance to try.

First stop, MAC Cosmetics.
I bought a Paint pot, these guys are great as primers! Your shadow will not move. I have 'Painterly' already, though I find with some looks it's a bit too dark. I decided to go with 'Soft Ochre' to brighten up my eyes and it will be nice to bring right up to get that clean line under my brows as well. It has a slight yellow tone to it, which fits with my skin tone fairly nicely, I'm super excited. I also bought a new brush to apply this product with, that I'll show further down this post.

                                                         Soft Ochre MAC Paint Pot

I wanted to replace my brush collection, and I ended up going for a few Sephora collection brushes to finish off my 'essentials'.

(For a full coverage application of my new powder foundation you will see below)
This brush will give you great medium to full coverage with powdered foundations.

After hearing all this hype about the Anastasia DIPBROW Pomade I had to give it a try.
First Impression- Amazed! Definitely worth the hype.
It's texture is so smooth and soft for an easy application and you don't have to use too much! But with that said, surprisingly it still has great hold, you could sleep in this stuff and it would not come off. I purchased the shade 'blonde' but they have a large selection of colours.

Since I know this is a hot product right now, and I bet a lot of you are wondering how exactly you use this. I will attach a great brow tutorial youtube video featuring this product.

Desi Perkins Brow Tutorial -Check her out, her videos are amazing.

What are we missing? Thats it! and I'm super excited about this because I LOVE full coverage, and I have been so excited about all of Kat Von D's products since she first came out with them!

I purchased the shade 'Light 49'. Unfortunately this shade is not quite as golden as I need, I wish I has gotten a slightly lighter more 'yellow' shade, but what can you do. It blends fairly well though. With this product you can apply it over liquid foundation for extreme coverage for photoshoots and nights out, or alone for light to medium coverage. This is how I will most likely be using this product because of the shade oopsie. It does work very well for a super quick application, when you are flying out the door.

Kat Von D's: Lock It Tattoo Powder Foundation

I think this was a very successful shopping trip. Super pleased with myself, you know that high you get after a good day shopping?
Yeah. Me too.

Have you guys tried the Kat Von D liquid foundation? What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Neutral Palettes, Urban Decay VS. Bobbi Brown..

A Battle of Palettes, Nude VS. Naked.

We have some amazing options right now for neutral palettes. Sephora has plenty of options, I spend far too much time in Sephora, that's for sure. I was taking a look for neutral shadow palettes, and these are my two favourite.

NUDE:

You can't have too many neutrals! This palette is filled with my favourite shades, tones I generally gravitate towards, golds, taupes, creams, and browns. As well as a variety between matte and frosty. This palette speaks for itself, what else would you need? Great for any make-up junkie, true to shade and long lasting. It will be put to good use.

VS:

NAKED:

Not as many options, also quite a bit cheaper, slightly important. But this is exactly what it advertises. Your basics. It's perfect for make-up beginners, It's nothing fancy.Though it would also be great for the make-up pro who needs to re-stock on the 'basics'. Beautiful colours, Urban Decay is great quality, and I do love my mattes!

Which palette would you choose?
